PICO REPEATER

The Pico Repeater provides an affordable solution to solve the indoor signal coverage problems due to signal fading and attenuation caused by architecture obstacles. And its easy installation and maintenance can help carrier get fast return.

The repeater is working as a relay between the BTS and mobiles. It picks up the strongest signal from BTS via the Donor Antenna, linearly amplifies the signal and then retransmits it via the Indoor Signal Distribution System to the weak/blind coverage area. And the mobile signal is also amplified and retransmitted to the BTS via the opposite direction.

1. CHARACTERISTICS

AUTOMATIC LEVEL CONTROL FUNCTION

With the function of digital ALC, the dynamic gain adjustment range extends over 20dB. It ensures the Pico Repeater works in linear status and provides high reliability and stability.

SELF-OSCILLATION AUTOMATIC DETECTION FUNCTION

The self-oscillation automatic detection function (the isolation detect at boot time), namely, detects the self-oscillation resulted from inadequate isolation between the donor antenna and service antenna. Thus the Pico Repeater can activate AGC to set the gain when self-oscillation occurred.

UPLINK/DOWNLINK GAIN ADJUSTMENT SYNCHRONIZATION UPLINK AND DOWNLINK GAIN SETUP AUTOMATICALLY

After the system is powered up, the input power is detected automatically and then the output power is adjusted. After the downlink gain is calculated by the system, the uplink gain can be adjusted equivalently. This method can balance the system amplification. The both path gain is adjusted relevantly. The system gain is less than the system path loss. So the Pico Repeater will not bring any interference and noise into the system link. One base station can hook up more than one Pico Repeater.

2. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

It supports wall mounting installation, with instructions followed below:

pico repeater mounting installation

  1. Choose an indoor mounting position for the Pico Repeater, and correctly mark the Pico mounting holes on the wall.
  2. Drill holes based on the former wall marks, and insert with rubber plugs.
  3. Screw the Pico to the wall site and get ready for installation.
  4. Connect the BTS port of Pico Repeater to the donor antenna, MS port to the service antenna.
  5. Supply AC220V power to the System via external extension power cable.
  6. Leave enough system isolation to proper run the system.
  7. Ensure 5-30m distance between the donor antenna and service antenna no matter with obstruction or not.
